Texts:
Course outline: We will cover Chapters 1-5 and at least part of Chapter 6 of the first book listed above. More detail will be added as the semester progresses.
Tests and Grading: There will be two exams given in class by your individual instructor which will be worth 15% of the course grade each. There will be a combined Midterm for all 304 sections which is scheduled for Wednesday March 20th from 7-9PM. This will be worth 25% of your grade.
The final will be comprehensive and is scheduled for May 14 from 7-9PM and is worth 35% of your grade. The remaining 10% of your grade is determined by your individual instructor.
Attendance: It is expected that you will attend class regularly. If your instructor does not have a specific policy on attendance then he/she may still apply the University's basic attendance policy.
Academic honesty: See the Student Academic Honesty Code. If you cheat on a test then you will be required to sign a Report of academic dishonesty form, which will be forwarded to the chair of the Harpur College Academic Honesty Committee, and you will receive a zero for the test. A second case of cheating or a single case of especially serious cheating will be referred to the Harpur College Academic Honesty Committee as a Category II offense. Questions not answered by the above should be asked of your instructor.
